I don’t even think the debate can be about vinyl vs. digital anymore.   It just doesn’t make sense with the unlimited boundaries you can take a set using software and digital interfaces.  As shown in the video below popular tracks are not really necessary.  You can accomplish amazing things with music beds and effects apps.  One of the main arguments behind not being a digital DJ is that DJs had to hide behind a laptop screen.  But with the advent of touch screen the screen no longer screens (*pun) DJ from crowd. So, I too am excited to see what apps will be developed for the iPad or what hardware might be developed using touch screen technology.
